I've always enjoyed drawing and used to fill the backs of my exercise books at school with silly stuff. "I wish I could do that" boys would say.

It's been useful for designing jewellery, making sculptures and set designs for TV related jobs, and the few years of architecture I practiced.

I decided to do illustration work about 20 years ago, and have enjoyed a fairly wide variety of work from technical work to a loose, cartoony style (see below).

About me:

BA and Dip Arch at Portsmouth School of Architecture in 1976;
self employed in 1979 designing jewellery in Bristol;
then branched into television - designing, sculpting, drawing plans, elevations, etc, and creating colour visuals for set designers;
at the same time began illustrating for local design and print studios, and for educational publications.

I stopped the last of those but have continued the illustration and jewellery since I moved to the northwest (Skelmersdale, Lancs).

I have two children who are sort of grown up now... live with my lady friend Penny and have just got my free bus pass. Now is the time to have fun doing light hearted pictures for storybooks - and even to make up the stories as well!
